Job summary

AHCSA invites applications for a Senior Project Officer to lead the Aboriginal Maternal and Infant Care Workforce initiative in South Australia. You will develop, implement and advocate for a Scope of Practice and a Model of Care to support Member Services and improve outcomes for Aboriginal women, babies and families.

The role collaborates with ACCHOs, SA Health maternity services and partners to strengthen care navigation, referral pathways and culturally safe continuity of care across

Qualifications

  • Experience developing and contributing to Scope of Practice and Models of Care.
  • Experience in multi-disciplinary teams within education or health sectors.
  • Experience collaborating with Aboriginal communities on projects.
  • Experience in community engagement with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and organisations.
  • Experience in project management across multiple stakeholders.
  • Experience in Aboriginal maternal and infant care field.
  • Experience reviewing research and applying findings to organisational strategies.

Responsibilities

  • Lead delivery of the AMIC Workforce Project on time and within budget.
  • Develop and implement workforce initiatives including Scope of Practice and Model of Care.
  • Build partnerships with ACCHOs, SA Health, communities and stakeholders.
  • Advocate for culturally safe, Aboriginal-led models of care.
  • Facilitate stakeholder engagement, working groups and statewide discussions.
  • Monitor project performance and support evaluation and policy development.
  • Represent AHCSA in state and national forums and networks.
