Job summary

DXC Technology is hiring a Senior Azure Container Engineer in Melbourne to deliver secure, production-ready container platforms for a major Australian Government agency.

You will build and manage AKS clusters, implement IaC (Bicep/Terraform), and deploy Docker-based workloads while enforcing Kubernetes security and observability. This role requires strong Azure experience and regulatory deliverables.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience with AKS, Docker, Kubernetes in enterprise environments.
• Strong IaC skills using Bicep and Terraform.
• Hands-on CI/CD with Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions.
• Experience delivering in government or regulated environments.
• AZ-400 preferred; AZ-104, CKA, CKAD, AZ-500 advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Build, configure and manage AKS clusters and supporting Azure services at enterprise scale.
• Implement Infrastructure as Code (Bicep/Terraform), CI/CD pipelines and GitOps workflows
• Containerise applications using Docker and onboard workloads including data, integration and AI services
• Implement Kubernetes security controls - RBAC, network policy, image scanning, secrets management and supply-chain security
• Deploy observability using Azure Monitor, Log Analytics and Container Insights
• Produce clear documentation, runbooks and test evidence for audited government environments
