Helia, Australia’s leading Lenders Mortgage Insurance provider, is seeking a Senior Engineer – Data & AI Platform in North Sydney. You’ll design and build an AI‑native data platform within Snowflake, enabling AI workloads and intelligent applications across the organisation.

Qualifications

• Experience with Snowflake, SQL, dbt and Python in a data platform

Responsibilities

• Design and build scalable data pipelines and AI applications using Snowflake-native AI capabilities
• Enable in-database AI, LLM, vector and semantic workflows
• Design and optimise data models supporting both analytical and AI workloads
• Contribute to AI-ready data architecture and data modelling approaches (Data Vault, common data models)
• Prepare and structure governed, high-quality data for AI and analytics
• Partner with AI engineers to integrate Snowflake-hosted intelligence into workflows
• Implement AI observability, monitoring and alerting for reliable AI and data solutions
• Collaborate with stakeholders to translate complex concepts into practical data solutions across the organisation
