Job summary

Cuscal Limited is developing a new AI platform in Australia. You will lead hands-on development from concept to production, building AI and Generative AI solutions, and deploying them as scalable enterprise applications.

You will work with LLMs, ML models and AI services, implementing RAG strategies and orchestrating tools, APIs and data systems. Strong production experience, CI/CD discipline and stakeholder collaboration are essential.

Qualifications

• Proven experience building, deploying and supporting production software or AI solutions in an enterprise environment.
• Proficiency in Python and modern backend frameworks, including experience building production APIs.
• Experience with cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS or GCP.
• Familiarity with AI software development lifecycle practices including CI/CD, automated testing and model lifecycle management.
• Practical knowledge of Azure Foundry.
• Experience integrating solutions with APIs, data platforms and business systems.
• Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively through ambiguity and collaborate across technical and business teams.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, test, deploy and support AI and Generative AI solutions.
• Develop applications using large language models (LLMs), machine learning models and AI services.
• Develop Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) solutions using enterprise data and knowledge sources.
• Work with prompt engineering, structured outputs, tool and function calling and model orchestration.
• Integrate AI solutions with enterprise APIs, data platforms, databases, document repositories and business systems.
• Apply established architecture patterns, integration standards and security requirements.
• Embed privacy, security, data governance and Responsible AI principles throughout the development lifecycle.
