Flight Centre Travel Group is seeking a Senior to Principal AI/Machine learning Engineer in Queensland to shape AI-driven travel solutions. You will drive design, development, and deployment of cutting-edge AI across ML, generative AI, agent workflows, and scalable platforms.

Lead a high-performing team, collaborate with senior stakeholders, and deliver impactful AI initiatives at global scale, leveraging Databricks, Kubernetes, and modern AI frameworks.

Qualifications

• 5+ years delivering production-grade ML/AI systems with impact.
• Experience building AI agents or LLM-powered applications in production.
• In-depth knowledge of Python and modern AI/ML frameworks.
• Proven ability to design scalable AI architecture and governance.

Responsibilities

• Lead development and productionisation of ML models, LLM-enabled systems, and agent-based apps.
• Define end-to-end MLOps with CI/CD, model registry, monitoring, drift detection, and retraining.
• Establish LLMOps standards including context engineering and safeguards.
• Architect AI agent workflows, gateways, and endpoints for secure, scalable solutions.
• Oversee Kubernetes deployments and cloud-native AI infrastructure.
• Coach and grow a high-performing AI engineering team.
