Job summary

Interpro in Canberra, ACT, is seeking a Microservices & AI Technical Lead for a 12-month initial contract with extensions. The role requires Australian citizenship and an NV1 security clearance and is based on-site in Canberra.

You will provide technical leadership for cloud-native platforms, microservices ecosystems, and AI-enabled solutions, guiding architecture, engineering best practices, and capability uplift across teams.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience designing and governing cloud-native, microservices, and event-driven architectures.
• Strong experience delivering scalable, reliable, and secure platforms for enterprise needs.
• Expertise in AI engineering and AI-enabled solution delivery across the lifecycle.
• Proven DevSecOps, CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, observability, and platform engineering.
• Track record leading large-scale technology transformation and modernization programs.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership and architectural governance for cloud-native, microservices, and event-driven platforms.
• Drive the design, implementation, and evolution of scalable, secure enterprise solutions.
• Lead the adoption of AI-enabled engineering practices across the software lifecycle.
• Establish and promote modern engineering standards including DevSecOps, CI/CD, and testing.
• Guide modernization initiatives including containerisation and system integration.
• Develop reusable architectural patterns to improve scalability and efficiency.
• Influence engineering decisions and mentor multidisciplinary delivery teams.
• Ensure security-by-design across development and deployment.
• Foster engineering excellence, innovation, and knowledge sharing.
• Partner with senior stakeholders to translate business objectives into technology solutions.
• Build organizational capability through coaching and governance.
