Job summary

Optus is seeking a visionary leader for the AD, AI Engineering Model Lifecycle role. You will oversee engineering, operationalisation and lifecycle management of AI capabilities across Network Operations, ensuring trusted, scalable and cost-efficient models with appropriate human oversight.

You will drive the evolution of engineering standards, model registries, and performance monitoring while collaborating with Architecture, Security, and governance functions to deliver AI-enabled operations

Qualifications

• Extensive leadership experience in large-scale technology environments.
• Experience leading enterprise-scale AI engineering, MLOps or production AI capabilities.
• Strong knowledge of AI/ML engineering, feature engineering, model deployment, registries and monitoring.

Responsibilities

• Own and evolve the AI engineering lifecycle strategy across Network Operations.
• Lead production-ready AI capabilities and deployment patterns.
• Establish reusable AI engineering standards and components for scalable delivery.
• Establish model registries, monitoring and controls for accuracy and drift.
• Partner with Architecture, Security, and Governance to keep AI compliant and trusted.
• Drive adoption of AI-assisted operations with human oversight.
