Job summary

FinXL IT Professional Services is seeking a Senior AI Engineer/Developer to deliver complex AI and ML platform implementations across on-premise and cloud environments in Australia.

You will build secure-by-design architectures, apply IaC practices, and lead DevSecOps initiatives while collaborating with Data Science and Cyber Security teams. This 12-month contract invites experienced professionals comfortable with multi-site delivery and government-grade security.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on AI engineering across on-premise, cloud, or hybrid environments.
• Proven Python automation and API integration skills.
• Strong CI/CD, IaC, and GitOps tooling experience.
• Experience with security-by-design, DevSecOps, and container security best practices.
• Ability to mentor teams and collaborate with Data Scientists and Cyber Security groups.

Responsibilities

• Design and maintain secure, scalable cloud infrastructure supporting AI/ML services.
• Lead end-to-end implementation and optimization of AI solutions across on-premise, public cloud, and hybrid environments.
• Ensure AI platforms comply with security governance frameworks through DevSecOps practices.
• Resolve complex technical issues and provide architectural guidance to stakeholders.
• Collaborate with Data Scientists, Cyber Security, and Core Data teams to establish capabilities and mentor internal teams.
