Job summary

Vanguard Australia is seeking a Lead Forward Deployed Engineer to embed with partners in IMG and GIFS. You will turn complex ideas into governed, production-quality AI-enabled solutions, guiding capabilities from experimentation to deployment.

You will mentor engineers, translate engagement experiences into reusable patterns, and shape engineering practices across regions while collaborating with global teams and leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and 7+ years in software/data/analytics engineering.
• Experience leading technical workstreams and delivering production-grade solutions.
• 2+ years building GenAI/LLM-powered solutions preferred.
• 5+ years with cloud-based AI & Data platforms/products.
• Strong enterprise delivery judgment balancing security, governance and SDLC.

Responsibilities

• Embed with researchers, portfolio managers, and traders to surface high-value opportunities.
• Architect and build AI-enabled applications and automations across regions.
• Lead the systematic replacement of legacy Excel/Tableau solutions with governed alternatives.
• Develop reusable patterns, templates, and evaluation methods for future delivery.
• Communicate delivery status and realized value to leadership across regions.
