Job summary

DLUX TECH in Parramatta, Australia, is hiring a Senior AEM Backend Developer to join our Sydney-based delivery team. The role focuses on scalable enterprise solutions using Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) backend.

You will work with Java, OSGi, Sling, JCR/Oak, and AEM as a Cloud Service, collaborating with clients, architects and offshore teams. Ideal candidates have 4+ years of hands-on AEM development, strong Java expertise, and experience with cloud deployments.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of software development experience.
• 4+ years of hands-on AEM development.
• AEM Cloud Service experience is highly desirable.
• Experience with distributed/offshore delivery teams.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Good understanding of SDLC and Agile methodologies.
• Strong communication and client-facing skills.
• AEM certification is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop robust backend solutions using Adobe Experience Manager.
• Develop custom AEM components, services, workflows and integrations.
• Develop and maintain AEM applications using Java, OSGi, Sling Models and JCR/Oak.
• Build REST APIs and integrations between AEM and third-party enterprise systems.
• Work with AEM as a Cloud Service and Cloud Manager.
• Develop solutions using AEM Core Components and custom extensions.
• Configure and develop AEM workflows, schedulers, servlets and event handlers.
• Troubleshoot application, integration and production issues.
• Participate in technical design, estimation and code reviews.
• Follow development, security and performance best practices.
• Collaborate with Solution Architects, Business Analysts, QA and frontend developers.
• Provide technical guidance and mentoring to junior developers.
• Work closely with offshore delivery teams to ensure successful project execution.
• Participate in client discussions and provide technical recommendations when required.
