Job summary

Sunshine Coast Hospital and Health Service in Nambour, QLD, is seeking a Senior Advisor- Workplace Relations to support managers across the health service on industrial and workplace relations matters across facilities.

We're excited to welcome a Senior Advisor- Workplace Relations to our Workforce team.

The purpose of this role is to advise and support managers across the Sunshine Coast Hospital and Health Service to address industrial and workplace relations issues, including, but not limited to: organisational change, union engagement, complex industrial grievances, workplace investigations, industrial disputes and external advocacy.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Perform the duties of the role across all facilities and sites of the Health Service.
  • Perform the duties of the role independently, with available resources and guidance and support from the Principal Advisor Workplace Relations.
  • Provide specialist advice to assist in the resolution of workplace relations issues of varying complexity, including organisational change, union engagement, industrial disputes and appeals, providing subject matter expertise to matters which elevate to external advocacy and forums (such as the Queensland Industrial Relations Commission).
  • Liaise with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders including with other Workforce Division teams, employees, supervising managers, senior and executive managers, unions, governmental departments and agencies, and other external forums.

Remuneration value up to $152,772 p.a., comprising salary between $125,000- $133,898 p.a., employer contribution to superannuation (up to 12.75%) and annual leave loading (17.5%) (AO6).
