The Department of Education, Western Australia is seeking a permanent full-time Insurance and Commercial Services Officer commencing October 2026.

You will contribute to planning and managing insurance arrangements for the Department, support schools on insurance matters, and help establish licences and commercial agreements with third parties while minimising risk in commercial activities.

Responsibilities

• Plan and manage insurance arrangements for the Department.
• Support schools on insurance matters.
• Develop licences and commercial agreements with third parties.
• Support Principals and Managers Corporate Services on commercial matters.
• Research legislation and policy impacting schools’ commercial activities and prepare recommendations for senior management.
• Monitor compliance with corporate governance frameworks and policies.
