The Parole Board Queensland was established as an independent authority and its statutory functions and powers are exercised independently from influence by Queensland Corrective Services (QCS).

As an independent decision-making body, the Board receives information from a range of people, service providers and organisations. The Board scrutinises this information in order to maintain public confidence through the transparency of the parole decision-making process.

Your day to day will include supervising staff workloads, mentoring and coaching team members, allocating and quality assuring Secretariat outputs. You will also prepare complex reports and submissions, monitor performance systems and ensure legislative compliance.

Choosing a career at QCS will give you the opportunity to develop your skills within an environment that provides the highest standards of service delivery through diligence, efficiency, collaboration, sharing of knowledge as well as supporting our co-workers, stakeholders, the community, prisoners and offenders.
