Job summary

Victoria Police’s Forensic Services Group in Macleod seeks an experienced senior administrator to lead administrative staff and support fingerprint casework. You will oversee rostering, record-keeping, and compliance with legislative obligations to ensure high service delivery.

You’ll supervise the Administration Officer cohort (VPS-2), manage LEAP/NAFIS records, and drive improvements in administrative processes within the unit.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated ability to supervise a team and allocate priorities to meet deadlines.
• Strong correspondence management and ability to coordinate tasks and workflows.

Responsibilities

• Update and maintain record systems including LEAP and NAFIS for ten print records.
• Maintain filing systems and digital/hard copy documents to ensure compliance with obligations.
• Prepare court statements by compiling documentation for fingerprint examiners.
• Respond to enquiries from internal and external stakeholders regarding case and sample status.
• Manage projects to improve administrative processes under supervision of Group Manager FSG.
• Participate in accreditation duties and update controlled documents as required.
• Provide authoritative advice and recommendations on routine and complex administrative tasks.
• Supervise, lead, and develop the Administration Officer cohort (VPS-2).
• Prepare, publish, and maintain rostering/scheduling systems for FSG staff.
