Job summary

Viva Energy is seeking an Accountant to join its Retail Finance team in Adelaide and play a pivotal role alongside the Financial Controller. You will be responsible for month-end close and critical areas of financial reporting across the business.

The role involves collaboration with heads of departments, banks and auditors, and potential growth into leadership. CA/CPA qualification or progress with at least three years of experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• CA/CPA qualification in progress or completed.
• Minimum of three years' experience in a similar role.
• Demonstrated ability to deliver accurate financial accounting outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the month end close process.
• Maintain and oversee key financial statements incl. inventories valuation, payroll expenses & leave provisions.
• Process journals & reconciliations; review team work papers.
