Job summary

Momenta Advisors in Sydney seeks a Senior Accountant to lead client work, mentor staff and help the firm grow. You will manage a portfolio of business clients, supervise junior accountants and work with the Director on year-end accounts and tax returns, plus proactive planning and advisory services.

Qualifications

• Degree qualified in accounting.
• 4+ years of experience.
• Xero proficiency.
• Microsoft Office proficiency.
• Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines and be target driven.
• Confident, well presented, self-motivated, detail oriented and have strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of business clients.
• Supervise a team of junior/intermediate accountants with input from the Director.
• Complete year-end financial accounts and income tax returns for all entity types.
• Provide proactive tax planning and business advice.
• Prepare business analytics data (financial ratios, benchmarking, etc.).
• Complete BAS, ITR, and other statutory compliance with Virtual CFO services.
• Contribute input on strategy, marketing and processes to grow the business.
• Collaborate with other departments to achieve firm goals.
• Engage with clients to maintain strong relationships.
