Job summary

Public Practice - Accountants in Western Sydney is seeking a Senior Accountant to take ownership of client work, build strong relationships and advance technical skills. The role offers hands-on guidance, training and a hybrid work arrangement as the practice grows.

You will work with leadership to develop your expertise, supported by mentoring and a team-focused environment with offshore and domestic resources.

Qualifications

• Experience in Australian public practice accounting.
• Strong knowledge of Australian accounting and taxation compliance.
• Experience with companies, trusts, partnerships and individuals.
• Excellent communication and client relationship skills.
• Strong organisational skills and ability to manage competing deadlines.
• Proactive attitude and willingness to continue learning and developing professionally.
• CA or CPA qualifications, or currently working towards completion.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review financial statements and tax returns for individuals and entities.
• Prepare and lodgement of BAS and other taxation compliance requirements.
• Manage client relationships and respond to accounting and taxation queries.
• Assist with tax planning and general business advisory matters.
• Liaise with the ATO and relevant authorities.
• Collaborate with internal team and offshore support to meet deadlines.
• Identify opportunities to improve processes and deliver high client service standards.
