Job summary

Bentley, based in Brisbane CBD, seeks an experienced public practice accountant to join our long-standing team. You will manage a portfolio of SME clients, prepare financial statements and tax returns, and provide advisory services while building strong client relationships.

This role offers hybrid work with two days work from home once settled, and the opportunity to progress toward a Manager role with potential equity participation.

Qualifications

• Experience in a public practice accounting firm.
• CA or CPA qualified, or working towards completion.
• Strong technical knowledge across tax and business services.
• Confident communicating with clients and building lasting relationships.
• A proactive approach with the ability to manage your own workflow.
• Keen to progress into a Manager role and explore future equity opportunities.

Responsibilities

• Managing a portfolio of SME clients across a range of industries.
• Preparing and reviewing financial statements and tax returns.
• Providing tax compliance and business advisory services.
• Building and maintaining strong client relationships.
• Assisting clients with business performance, tax planning and general accounting matters.
• Supporting and mentoring junior team members where required.
• Working closely with Partners and Managers on more complex client matters.
