A leading accounting firm in Australia seeks a Senior Accountant / Client Manager to mentor junior staff and manage client relationships. The ideal candidate will have extensive public accounting experience and be well-versed in tax laws and regulations. Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience in public accounting with a focus on tax and financial reporting.

• Assist in managing and nurturing client relationships and addressing client inquiries.
• Review complex individual, corporate, partnership, and trust tax returns.

Skills

CPA or equivalent certification

Minimum of 6 years of experience in public accounting

Proficiency in accounting software Xero

Position Summary:

As the Senior Accountant / Client Manager, your role will involve mentoring junior staff, client interaction, project management, and accounting tasks. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in accounting, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple clients and projects effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist the Senior Client Manager in managing and nurturing client relationships, addressing client inquiries, and providing timely and accurate information.
• Review complex individual, corporate, partnership, and trust tax returns.
• Review financial statements, ensuring compliance with applicable accounting standards.
• Train junior accountants, providing guidance and support to enhance their professional development.
• Delegate and review tasks of their team members.
• Stay current on changes in tax laws, regulations, and accounting standards, and share knowledge with the team.
• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and service quality.

Skills:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA or equivalent certification is required.
• Minimum of 6 years of experience in public accounting, with a focus on tax and financial reporting.
• Experience managing a team.
