Job summary

MW Recruitment is seeking a Senior Accountant or Assistant Manager to join a boutique yet growing accounting practice in Queensland. You will manage a diverse regional client base, work autonomously, and partner with large clients.

You’ll oversee tax compliance and advisory, mentor junior staff, and contribute to growth with a clear development plan. Hybrid work with two days WFH and the chance to progress toward partnership is on offer.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience in an Australian accounting firm.
• CA or CPA qualifications.
• Strong advisory skills with a track record of value-added services.
• Proactive approach to client relationships and business development.

Responsibilities

• Manage a diverse portfolio of clients with a focus on regional businesses.
• Oversee tax compliance and planning/advisory for individuals and businesses.
• Oversee junior staff while being supported by the director.
• Contribute to the firm's growth and business development initiatives.
• Partner with the Melbourne office on certain engagements.
