Job summary

MW Recruitment seeks a Senior Accountant for a client-focused Adelaide accounting practice. You will own business services and tax advisory across a varied client portfolio, mentoring junior team members.

You will review financial statements and tax returns, deliver strategic tax planning, and handle complex tax matters including Div 7A, CGT and FBT, while building lasting client relationships.

Qualifications

• 3+ years' experience within an Australian public practice firm
• Strong communication and leadership skills
• Confident communicator across email, phone and in-person meetings
• Strong technical knowledge across business services and taxation

THE ROLE:

You will take full ownership of business services and tax advisory responsibilities across a varied portfolio of clients spanning multiple industries, while also sharing your expertise through mentorship and technical guidance to less experienced team members.

Key responsibilities

will include (but are not limited to):

Reviewing financial statements and income tax returns across all entity types

Delivering strategic tax planning and business advisory services tailored to each client's needs

Preparation and review of complex tax matters including Div 7A, CGT and FBT calculations

Serving as the primary point of contact for your client portfolio, fostering trusted and lasting relationships

Identifying advisory opportunities and contributing to firm growth through client referrals and cross-service initiatives

You will have at least 3+ years' experience within an Australian public practice firm and demonstrate strong communication and leadership skills, as client interaction and team support are key components of the role.
