Job summary

Frog Recruitment has partnered with an established Western Sydney Business Services & Advisory firm to recruit a Senior Accountant. This role offers greater ownership, direct client contact, and a clear pathway to management within a supportive team.

You'll manage SME client portfolios, review financial statements and tax workings, and mentor junior accountants while collaborating with Partners and Managers to deliver high-quality advisory services.

Qualifications

• Experience in Australian public practice accounting firms.
• CA or CPA qualified or nearing completion.
• Strong technical knowledge across business services and taxation.

If you're currently in a Big 4 or mid-tier environment and looking for greater ownership, stronger client relationships and a genuine pathway to management, this role offers the opportunity to step away from being one of many and become a key adviser to your clients. Joining this well-established professional services firm, you'll work closely with business owners across a diverse SME portfolio, gaining exposure to the strategic and commercial aspects of their businesses. Unlike larger firms where client contact and decision-making can be limited, you'll have direct access to clients, involvement in advisory discussions and the opportunity to influence outcomes while developing your leadership capability.

Reporting to the Business Services Manager, you will take ownership of an established portfolio and play an important role in delivering high-quality accounting, taxation and advisory services.

Key responsibilities include

• Manage a portfolio of SME clients
• Review financial statements, income tax returns, BAS and IAS across a range of entity structures
• Build trusted relationships with business owners and become their primary point of contact
• Deliver practical taxation and business advice alongside Managers and Partners
• Mentor and review the work of junior accountants and offshore team members
• Drive workflow management, quality control and the timely delivery of client outcomes.

To be successful, you will bring experience from an Australian public practice accounting firm, ideally within a Big 4, mid-tier or established boutique environment. You will be CA or CPA qualified, or nearing completion, with strong technical knowledge across business services and taxation. Most importantly, you will enjoy developing client relationships and be motivated by the opportunity to broaden your advisory exposure and leadership responsibilities.
