Audemars Piguet Australia seeks an experienced Finance Manager to lead the accounting function for the boutique in Australia, ensuring compliant financial operations, governance and reporting. You will partner with local and regional teams to support operational excellence and business growth.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Act as primary finance contact for the Australian boutique and support local operations with regional teams.
  • Manage full set of accounts, AP/AR, cash management, fixed assets and employee expense claims.
  • Lead month-end, quarter-end and year-end close with journal entries and reconciliations.
  • Prepare financial reports, cash flow forecasts and variance analyses per local and Group requirements.
  • Coordinate GST/BAS reporting, corporate tax requirements and audit deliverables.

Job Description

Within Audemars Piguet’s boutique in Australia, your main mission will be to ensure the integrity of financial operations, compliance and reporting activities while supporting the smooth running of the local business.

As part of Audemars Piguet’s first official boutique in Australia, you will play a key role in establishing and maintaining robust finance, governance and administrative processes. Working closely with local and regional stakeholders, you will contribute to operational excellence and support the continued growth of the business.

In this context, you will be responsible for:

  • Acting as the primary finance contact for the Australian business and supporting local operations in collaboration with regional teams
  • Managing the full spectrum of accounting activities, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, cash management, fixed assets and employee expense claims
  • Ensuring the accurate and timely processing of financial transactions in accordance with company policies and accounting standards
  • Performing account reconciliations and maintaining the integrity of financial records, ledgers and supporting documentation
  • Leading month-end, quarter-end and year-end closing activities, including journal entries, accruals, prepayments and balance sheet reconciliations
  • Preparing financial reports, cash flow forecasts, reporting packages and variance analyses in accordance with local and Group requirements
  • Supporting inventory reconciliations, stock reporting and the investigation of discrepancies where required
  • Contributing to management reporting and providing financial insights to support business decision-making
  • Coordinating tax and statutory compliance activities, including GST/BAS reporting, corporate tax requirements and audit deliverables
  • Acting as a key point of contact for external auditors, tax advisors, banks and corporate service providers
  • Ensuring compliance with local accounting standards, tax regulations and Group reporting requirements
  • Maintaining and strengthening internal control frameworks across finance and administrative processes
  • Identifying process improvement opportunities and contributing to the enhancement of finance operations, controls and reporting accuracy
  • Supporting internal and external audits and ensuring appropriate follow-up on audit recommendations
  • Coordinating legal, corporate governance and administrative matters, including corporate records, licenses, insurance policies and statutory registrations
  • Supporting vendor management, office administration and back-office operations to ensure the smooth running of the boutique and local business
  • Building strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to support business growth and operational excellence
Qualifications
  • Degree in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline, with a professional accounting qualification (CA, CPA or equivalent) preferred
  • Minimum 5 of 7 years of experience in accounting and finance, preferably within a multinational environment
  • Experience in retail, luxury or consumer-facing industries would be an advantage
  • Previous experience within an audit firm is a plus
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting standards and internal controls
  • Solid experience managing full sets of accounts, month-end closing and financial reporting activities
  • Good understanding of Australian statutory, tax and corporate compliance requirements
  • Experience liaising with auditors, tax advisors, banks and external stakeholders
  • Experience working with ERP systems and Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel
  • Exposure to Group reporting within a multinational organization is preferred
  • Experience in financial planning and analysis, budgeting or forecasting would be an advantage
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail
  • Proactive, hands-on and capable of operating independently in a lean organization
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines and maintain a high level of accuracy in a fast-paced environment
