Job summary

Khourys & Associates is seeking a motivated Senior Accountant to join our public practice team in NSW. You will grow with the firm by managing tax returns and financials for varied clients, including SMSFs, and providing strategic tax planning advice.

The ideal candidate will hold a CPA/CA or equivalent, have at least five years of public practice experience with SMSFs, and demonstrate strong knowledge of accounting software such as MYOB, Xero, HandiTax, and Connected Ledger.

Qualifications

• CPA/CA or equivalent qualification required.
• Minimum 5 years’ public practice experience including SMSFs.

Responsibilities

• Manage and prepare tax returns & financials for small to medium businesses, including company, partnership, trust structures, and SMSFs.
• Review and analyse financial statements and business structures.
• Provide tax planning advice and management of accounts.
• Review, analyse and complete Business Activity Statements.
• Report to the associate on performance, budgets and client matters.
• Assist the associate with preparation of technical tax compliance audits.
• Liaise with clients, ATO, ASIC, Long Service and other external agencies.
• Complete tasks according to accounting standards and internal policies and procedures.
