Optimum Consulting is seeking a Senior Accountant for a growing Australian healthcare group with integrated clinic and dispensary operations. You will own the dispensary accounts, manage month end, and partner with clinic teams on budgeting and process improvements.

The role reports to the Finance Manager and offers direct exposure to leadership, with responsibilities spanning GL reconciliations, tax compliance, AP/payroll approvals, and year-end audit support.

Qualificações

• CPA or CA qualified, or near completion.
• Minimum 5 years' experience in a similar role.
• Strong month end, reconciliations and balance sheet experience.
• Experience with Xero; exposure to Airtable highly regarded.
• A genuine aptitude for systems improvement and automation.
• Confident communicator, able to build credibility with stakeholders at all levels.

Responsabilidades

• Own month end procedures and produce financials with commentary for senior management.
• Reconcile GL and balance sheet accounts; cross check operational data for accuracy.
• Review and approve the weekly AP run and payroll submissions.
• Lead tax compliance duties and liaise with external auditors as needed.
• Partner with the clinic business on budgeting, forecasting and process improvements.
• Identify and implement systems improvements and automation; train team members.

Our client is a growing Australian healthcare group operating integrated clinic and dispensary businesses. With a lean, hands on finance function led by the CFO, they are seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to take ownership of the dispensary accounts and partner closely with the clinic business.

Reporting to the Finance Manager, this is a highly visible role with direct exposure to leadership. It suits a technically strong accountant who enjoys owning the month end, tightening processes and working alongside operational stakeholders to improve commercial outcomes.

About the Role

• Month end procedures
• Manage weekly sell through invoicing and reconciliation back to the head entity
• Partner with the clinic business on budgeting, forecasting and process improvement
• Produce month end financials with commentary for senior management
• Reconcile GL and balance sheet accounts, and cross check operational data for integrity
• Review and approve the weekly AP run and process ABA files for creditor payments
• Review and approve payroll submissions, payroll tax workings and lodgements
• Manage monthly tax compliance
• Lead year end audit support and liaise with external auditors
• Identify and implement systems improvements and automation
• Train and support team members as required

About You

• CPA or CA qualified, or near completion
• Minimum 5 years' experience in a similar role
• Strong month end, reconciliations and balance sheet experience
