Job summary

Bentleys Queensland is seeking a hands-on Senior Accountant to join our Brisbane office. You will deliver high-quality accounting and tax compliance work for a diverse client portfolio, while building strong client relationships and developing your technical capability.

This role offers flexibility with hybrid and flexible working arrangements, 5 weeks annual leave, and support to maintain CA/CPA qualifications.

Qualifications

• Relevant Bachelor's degree with a focus in Accounting, Finance or Economics.
• CA or CPA qualification (or near completion).
• 4 - 5 years’ experience in Australian public practice - Business Services focus.
• Proficiency with Accounting software (such as Xero, MYOB or QuickBooks).
• Solid understanding of Australian Tax across a range of entity types.
• Experience mentoring or supporting junior staff (desirable).

Responsibilities

• Prepare financial statements and tax returns - individuals, companies, trusts and SMSFs
• Manage BAS, IAS and ATO compliance obligations across your client portfolio
• Support and mentor junior accountants within the team
• Collaborate with clients to resolve queries and assist with tax planning activities
• Manage your own workflow and deadlines within a structured team environment

About the Role

Our Business Services team is looking for a hands-on, client focused Senior Accountant to join our friendly, collaborative team within our Brisbane office.

Your focus will be on delivering high-quality accounting and tax compliance work, while building strong client relationships and developing your technical capability.
