Job summary

Oreon Partners is seeking a full-time Senior Accountant to work with a diverse client base. The role includes supervising a small team of accountants, managing workflow, fees and KPI budgets, and overseeing WIP and debtors. CPA/CAANZ qualification with 4–5+ years in practice is preferred.

You will report to a Partner and collaborate with clients across various industries, with occasional travel to regional and interstate sites. Salary and conditions negotiable based on experience.

Qualifications

• CPA/CAANZ qualification with preferably 4 to 5 years or more experience in an accounting practice.
• Strong skillset in accounting and compliance with the ability to prepare and review.
• High level of tax knowledge with strength in general tax issues.
• Experience with cash flow preparation, business analysis, tax and business structure, and advising clients.

Responsibilities

• Supervision of a small team of accountants, including assisting with team workflow, fee and KPI budgets, as well as team WIP and debtors.
• Report directly to one of the Partners and work with a diverse group of clients.
• Attend to regional and interstate client travel as required.

Oreon Partners is an accounting practice located in Kent Town, South Australia. We provide tailored accounting, advisory and financial planning services to a wide range of clients.

Our team of over 70 people is led by nine accounting partners and a financial planning partner, bringing together a wealth of expertise and experience.

Reporting directly to one of the Partners, the practice seeks a full time Senior Accountant to work with a diverse group of clients. The role will also require the supervision of a small team of accountants which would include assisting with team workflow, fee and KPI budgets, as well as team WIP and debtors.

The applicant must be CPA/CAANZ qualified with preferably 4 to 5 years or more experience in an accounting practice.

To be successful in the role you will need the following:

• Strong skillset of accounting and compliance knowledge with the ability to prepare and review.
• High level of tax knowledge with strength in general tax issues.
• Accounting and bookkeeping software experience. The ability to assist clients with set up, training and preparation.
• Experience with cash flow preparation and analysis, general business analysis, tax and business structure, different industries and instructing solicitors.
