Job summary

ResMed Inc in Australia is seeking a Senior Accessibility Specialist to embed accessibility into the Design System, partnering with designers and engineers to ensure WCAG 2.2 AA compliant components, patterns and guidance.

You will review designs and front-end code using manual and automated testing, define acceptance criteria, and drive inclusive design across teams with AI-assisted workflows.

Qualifications

• 5+ years’ professional experience in digital accessibility.
• Strong knowledge of WCAG 2.2 AA and practical guidance.
• Experience conducting accessibility reviews and audits.
• Hands-on testing with assistive technologies (screen readers, keyboard navigation).
• Proficient in HTML, CSS and ARIA implementations.
• Experience with automated accessibility testing and tooling.
• Interest in integrating accessibility into AI-assisted workflows.
• Ability to collaborate with UX/UI designers and engineers.

Responsibilities

• Define and embed accessibility standards across the Design System.
• Review designs, prototypes and front-end code for accessibility.
• Partner with designers and engineers to identify barriers and solutions.
• Define accessible component behaviours and guidance.
• Establish accessibility acceptance criteria, testing practices and docs.
• Support product teams with accessibility implementation challenges.
• Embed accessibility into AI-assisted design and development workflows.
• Advocate for inclusive design across teams.
