As the Senior Accessibility Adviser, you will provide specialist advice and leadership to embed accessibility, inclusion and universal design principles across the City’s infrastructure, services, programs, information, policies, projects and strategic initiatives.
As the City’s principal subject matter expert, you will help shape inclusive outcomes for people with disability, older people, carers and others who may experience barriers to participation. Your expertise will support the City to create accessible environments, services and experiences and progress its commitment to becoming an accessible City for all.
You will work across our business to provide strategic and technical accessibility advice, ensuring accessibility considerations are embedded from planning and design through to delivery and evaluation.
Working collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams, you will influence projects, policies, programs and services and provide expert advice on relevant legislation, standards and best practice. You will also build strong relationships with people with disability, carers, advocacy organisations and community stakeholders, ensuring lived experience informs the City’s decision making.
You will have the opportunity to lead organisation-wide accessibility improvements through the development of policies, standards, guidance and training, while keeping the City informed of emerging trends, industry developments and best practice.

You are an experienced accessibility professional with strong specialist knowledge of accessibility, disability inclusion and universal design, and the ability to translate this expertise into practical outcomes across a complex organisation.
