Job summary

Telstra is seeking a Senior Network Software Engineering Specialist to provide technical leadership across the analysis, design, development and deployment of complex network technologies, spanning 5G RAN, O-RAN, cloud-native engineering, DevOps and AI‑driven automation.

You’ll also play a leadership role within the engineering community, mentoring others and uplifting capability across the mission and chapter.

Qualifications

• Requires strong telecommunications domain knowledge and hands‑on modern engineering capability.
• Experience across 5G RAN autonomy, PCI, ANR and mobility optimization preferred.
• Ability to translate complex network requirements into scalable, reliable solutions.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, integrate and maintain complex network technologies, platforms and systems.
• Translate customer and business requirements into practical network products, services and infrastructure solutions.
• Drive automation and optimisation across 5G RAN and related architectures.
• Support critical wireless engineering applications through modern DevOps and cloud-native engineering practices.
• Mentor engineers and contribute to a culture of high performance and continuous learning.
