Telstra is seeking an experienced Senior Network Engineer to join the Mobile Service Edge team. You will design, implement, and optimise network infrastructure across large-scale environments, lead migration and modernisation initiatives, and work across multi-vendor networks with engineering, operations, and delivery teams.

Formación

• 10+ years’ experience in Network Engineering within large enterprise or service provider environments.
• Strong hands‑on experience with Cisco and/or Juniper networking platforms.
• Experience with BGP OSPF HSRP/VRRP STP Routing and Switching technologies.
• Experience delivering network migration and transformation projects.
• Exposure to network automation and IaC practices.
• Understanding of cloud networking concepts and hybrid infrastructure environments.
• Experience supporting highly available, mission‑critical network services.
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical and problem‑solving skills.

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Network Engineer to join the Mobile Service Edge team within Core & Internet Engineering portfolio. This role will be responsible for supporting the delivery of strategic network transformation initiatives, operational stability improvements, infrastructure modernisation, and lifecycle management activities across critical network platforms.

The successful candidate will contribute to both business-as-usual operations and complex transformation programs, working across multi-vendor networking environments and collaborating with engineering, operations, architecture, and delivery teams.

Required Skills & Experience

• 10+ years’ experience in Network Engineering within large enterprise or service provider environments.
• Strong hands‑on experience with Cisco and/or Juniper networking platforms.
• Proven expertise in: BGP OSPF HSRP/VRRP STP Routing and Switching technologies
• Experience delivering network migration and transformation projects.
• Exposure to network automation and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices.
• Understanding of cloud networking concepts and hybrid infrastructure environments.
• Experience supporting highly available, mission‑critical network services.
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical and problem‑solving skills.

Preferred Certifications

One or more of the following:

• CCNA / CCNP
• JNCIA / JNCIS / JNCIP
• AWS Cloud Practitioner
• Microsoft Azure Fundamentals (AZ-900)
• Network automation or cloud certifications
