Job summary

SEME Solutions in Mackay, Queensland, is seeking a Security Technician to join a dynamic team. You will install, commission and service electronic security systems across CCTV/IP surveillance and access control, leading projects from first fix to handover.

A professional, client-focused on-site role with independent site management will be expected, including maintenance for existing clients and contributing to major projects. Relocation assistance may be available for the right applicant.

Qualifications

• Current Queensland Security Industry License - essential.
• Solid hands-on experience across commercial CCTV, access control and intruder alarm systems.
• Practical knowledge of Gallagher, Integriti, Milestone or similar platforms.
• Ability to work independently across multiple sites with clear communication.
• Comfortable handling complex commercial and critical infrastructure projects with strong documentation.

Job description

SEME Solutions has been a leading provider of commercial security systems in Australia for over 50 years. We specialise in consulting, designing, supplying, installing, integrating, maintaining, and servicing commercial CCTV systems, access control, workforce access management, intruder detection, perimeter solutions, gates, nurse call, and duress systems.

Due to continuing growth, in the Mackay region we have immediate position available for a Security Technician who would like to join our fun and dynamic team.

The work is diverse and includes the mining, commercial, industrial and government sectors plus more. The position is based in Mackay and relocation assistance may be available for the right applicant

The work will encompass:

Installing, commissioning and servicing electronic security systems.

Working across CCTV/IP surveillance, electronic access control (Gallagher, Integriti).

Leading installations from first fix through to commissioning, system programming and client handover.

Carrying out scheduled and reactive maintenance for existing clients, keeping systems running and clients confident.

Contributing to major Queensland project work - critical infrastructure, mining facilities and government projects.

Identifying service, upgrade and new opportunity potential within existing accounts and feeding this back to the branch.

Sharing experience and technical knowledge with junior technicians as the team grows.

The role will require someone that is a self-starter with great customer service skills and can work independently where required.

The role would also be suited to someone in a similar field such as data or electrical, who is wanting to broaden their horizons and knowledge in a leading company.

Required Qualifications:

Current Queensland Security Industry License - essential.

Solid hands-on experience across commercial CCTV, access control and intruder alarm systems.

Practical knowledge of platforms such as Gallagher, Integriti, Milestone or similar - the more the better.

Ability to work independently across multiple sites, managing your own schedule and communicating clearly with the team.

Comfortable working on complex commercial and critical infrastructure projects with high standards of documentation and delivery.
