Job summary

Johnson Controls is seeking a Security Commissioning Technician to join the Systems team in Australia. You will commission, configure, test, and optimize security systems across construction projects and large environments, working with project managers, engineers and customers to ensure safe, on‑time delivery and quality outcomes.

You will troubleshoot, support during the DLP, and mentor junior staff, while upholding SHEMS safety procedures and compliance in a dynamic, evolving environment.

Qualifications

• 2–6 years of experience as a Security Technician or similar role.
• Trade qualification in Security Systems or related field is required.
• Ability to obtain NSW Security Provider Licence.

Responsibilities

• Install, commission, configure, and maintain security systems (Access Control, CCTV, Intercom).
• Diagnose and resolve complex technical issues and provide troubleshooting guidance.
• Collaborate with Project Managers, Engineers and customers to meet specifications.
• Support planning, scheduling and execution of projects.
• Mentor junior technicians and apprentices.
