Job summary

CareCone Group in Sydney is seeking a Security Platform Engineer (runZero)/Cyber Security Platform Engineer to design and implement a scalable security platform.

You will configure discovery across diverse environments, integrate with CMDB and SIEM, and automate onboarding and operational playbooks for reliable detection and response.

The role emphasizes RBAC, secrets management, and maintaining separation between production and testing while expanding coverage across client environments.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement the runZero platform operating model across environments, access, and asset tagging.
• Configure discovery coverage for on-prem, data centre, cloud, remote access, network, IoT and OT environments.
• Define scanning patterns, safe-guards, and maintenance windows for sensitive environments.
• Integrate runZero with CMDB, ServiceNow, SIEM and cloud platforms, with secure service identities.
• Automate onboarding, configuration validation, and escalation workflows to reduce manual effort.
• Establish RBAC, secrets management and auditable change history for platform changes.
• Create dashboards and runbooks for performance, health and incident response.
