Job summary

NSW Department of Communities and Justice is seeking a Manager of Security – Talent Pool to lead security operations across metropolitan and regional correctional centres and locations in NSW. The role reports to senior management and oversees the coordination of day-to-day security, inmate services and staff discipline.

Salary is $201,606.00 per annum plus incidental allowance, leave loading and superannuation. Applications close 8 November 2026. Travel within NSW is required.

Qualifications

• Experience meeting the key accountabilities and focus capabilities as detailed in the role description.
• Current and valid driving licence and willingness to travel within NSW.
• Comply with National Heavy Vehicle Law and Regulations and Chain of responsibility Policy and Procedures (CESU roles only).

Responsibilities

• Provide high level operational leadership and direction for management in correctional centres and locations across NSW.
• Coordinate the purposeful day, ensure effective security and inmate related services, and maintain staff discipline.
• Lead and direct special projects or specialised services within Corrective Services NSW.
