Security Officer – Full-Time

Location: Chatswood, NSW

Industry: Large Indoor Shopping Centre within the retail industry.

Positions Available: Full-time

Potential Earnings / Award Level: Level 2

About the Role

As a Security Officer, you will be responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment while delivering a high standard of customer service. This role involves a mix of patrols, incident response, and client‑facing duties.

Shifts

Weekday and weekend | Day and night shifts

Roster (example):
Monday to Saturday – 09:00am to 09:00pm
Sunday – 11:00am to 09:00pm

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct patrols/roaming to ensure the safety and security of people, property, and assets
• Provide a professional and approachable security presence
• Respond to alarms, incidents, emergencies, and requests for assistance
• Identify and assess risks, taking appropriate action in line with procedures
• Adhere to all site and company security protocols
• Obtain complete and detailed incident reports and maintain accurate records
• Maintain traffic control in loading docks

About You

• A valid Security Licence
• Current First Aid and CPR certification
• Previous security experience (retail experience highly regarded)
• Availability to work day/night and weekday/weekend shifts
• Good physical fitness, as patrols are required
• Ability to work independently and follow procedures
• Strong attention to detail
• A reliable and punctual work history
• Full Australian working rights
