Job summary

Amentum is seeking a Security Monitor in Australia to maintain security for restricted areas, monitor uncled personnel, and ensure compliance with site procedures. The role reports to the Security Monitor Supervisor and focuses on line-of-sight monitoring and safety.

The ideal candidate will have at least 1 year of experience, a current manual driving licence, White Card, and excellent communication skills to coordinate with security teams and other site operations.

Qualifications

• Year 12 completion required.
• Valid Driver’s Licence (manual transmission).
• White Card (Construction Induction) required.
• Minimum 1 year of work experience.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work in extreme weather and physically demanding conditions.

Responsibilities

• Monitor uncleared personnel to prevent unauthorized access or removal of sensitive materials.
• Enforce site regulations and communicate security procedures professionally.
• Operate handheld radio systems for effective communication.
• Respond to emergency events and maintain control of personnel.
• Complete incident and infraction reports accurately.
• Support other operational areas as needed.
• Promote and maintain health and safety compliance.

About The Role

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor uncleared personnel to prevent unauthorized access or removal of sensitive materials.
• Enforce site regulations and communicate security procedures professionally.
• Operate handheld radio systems for effective communication.
• Respond to emergency events and maintain control of personnel.
• Complete incident and infraction reports accurately.
• Support other operational areas (e.g., custodial, food services, trades) as needed.
• Promote and maintain health and safety compliance.

Security Clearance Requirement

Applicants must be eligible to obtain and retain a minimum of NV1 (Australian) or SECRET (U.S.) Department of Defence Security Clearance.
