ACESGroup is seeking casual Security Officers with NSW Driver Licence (Medium/Heavy Rigid) and NSW Security Licence 1A. Responsibilities include shuttle bus driving across campus and nearby suburbs, plus high-visibility walking patrols when not driving. Duties involve safety, incident management, and maintaining records.

Availability for 0700–1530 and 1530–0000 shifts is required. Candidates should hold RSA (current), First Aid/CPR, and Working with Children Check.

Qualifications

• Must hold NSW Security Licence 1A.
• Must hold Medium or Heavy Rigid NSW Driver Licence.
• RSA competency card (current) is preferred.
• First Aid and CPR up-to-date.
• Fire Warden certification or willingness to attain.
• Working with Children Check.
• Excellent customer service and professional presentation.

Responsibilities

• Drive a shuttle bus around campus and nearby suburbs, picking up and dropping off students on request.
• Conduct high-visibility walking patrols in designated campus areas when not driving.
• Maintain safety and professionalism during transport and on-site duties.
• Respond to emergencies and alarms; manage incidents for best outcomes.
• Perform site safety inspections and protect users from risks; log records and reports.

Job description

We are seeking casual Security Officers who hold the Medium or Heavy Rigid Driver Licence to drive our Shuttle Bus.

This role involves rotating between two key responsibilities: driving a shuttle bus between campus' and to nearby suburbs, as well as conducting high-visibility walking patrols across designated pathways and main campus areas when not on Shuttle Bus shifts.

Must be avaialbe to cover day shifts 0700-1530 and evening shifts 1530-0000.

Please note: this role requires Security Guards who have a valid NSW 1A Security Licence.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Drive a shuttle bus around campus and within nearby suburbs, picking up and dropping off students upon request.
• Maintain safety and professionalism while interacting with students and staff during transport.
• Delivering excellent service performance standards whilst developing. operational efficiencies and improve performance
• Responding to workplace emergencies
• Site safety inspections and protecting users from security related risks
• Manage incidents to achieve the best possible outcomes
• Reduce risk and increase safety
• Responding to alarm activations
• Managing access control systems
• Maintaining data and security records including communication logs and comprehensive reports.

• NSW Security Licence 1A
• Ability to work a 24/7 rotating roster across 7 Days
• Medium or Heavy Rigid NSW Driver Licence
• Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) Competency Card (current)
• First Aid and CPR (current)
• Fire Warden (or willing to attain)
• Working with Children's Check
• Excellent customer service skills
• Superior communication skills (both written and verbal)
• Exceptional personal presentation
• Reliability and punctuality.
