Job description

Take pride in the Quality Work you do and Get Rewarded.

You must have valid Australian working rights to be considered for this role.

Full-Time | Immediate Start Available or Start Next Year!
Who We Are

AMR Security is a leading electronic security integrator operating out of our new HQ in Chullora, delivering advanced security systems for commercial, government and critical infrastructure clients.

With 50+ years of combined experience across our leadership team, our name is built on quality installs and reliable service and we're growing, so we need good people.

We keep it simple at AMR Security, put in the effort and take pride in your work and own the results and you'll be backed with a great working environment and a genuine path to progress.

Who We Want to Hear From
  • Experienced Security Technicians who’ve cabled & fit off access control, CCTV, intrusion and intercom systems on commercial sites and are ready to progress.
  • Electricans & Data Cablers who’ve seen the light & moved into security, are confident commissioning integrated systems and want to step up into a senior role.
  • Senior Techs who are tired of being promised everything and given nothing
  • Experienced data cablers who take pride in a neat finish and want a more challenging technical role.
What You'll Need
  • Minimum 4 years experience
  • Current driver's licence
  • White card (WH&S general induction)
  • NSW Class 2C Security Licence - We can help you obtain
  • Open Registration Cabling Licence - We can help you obtain
  • Valid Australian working rights
What Will Make You Stand Out
  • Australian Government security clearance (Baseline or above), current or previously held
  • Manufacturer certifications (e.g. Gallagher, Genetec, Inner Range, Milestone, Bosch)
  • ACT security licence, or happy to obtain one
  • EWP and working at heights tickets
  • Experience producing ITPs, as-builts and O&M manuals
  • An interest in quoting, estimating or tendering
Who You Are
  • A leader on site. You set the standard and the pace. The crew looks to you for direction, and you give it clearly, fairly and without the drama.
  • Technically sharp. You can take a system from bare cable to fully programmed, tested and handed over, and you understand why it works, not just that it does.
  • Proud of your work. Neat cable runs, tidy terminations, clean finishes, properly documented. You do it right the first time and hold the crew to the same standard. Work is done to the relevant codes, standards and company procedures, not near enough.
  • Organised. You plan the day, the week and the job. Materials on site, crew where they need to be, paperwork done.
  • Reliable. You turn up on time and see the job through. The team and our clients can count on you to be where you say you'll be.
  • A problem solver. Integrated systems don't always play nicely and sites never go 100% to plan. You fault-find methodically, find a way through and raise issues early instead of guessing.
  • A mentor. You enjoy passing it on. Apprentices and junior techs walk away from a job with you knowing more than when they started.
  • A clear communicator. Comfortable dealing with clients, builders, project managers and other trades. You give honest updates, flag problems early and don't leave anyone guessing.
  • Professional and customer-focused. Easy to deal with, on and off the tools. Clients, builders and other trades remember you for the right reasons, and you represent AMR well wherever you are.
  • Trustworthy. We work on government, commercial and critical infrastructure sites. Client and company information stays confidential, full stop.
  • Safety-minded. You don't just work safe, you lead it. SWMS, toolbox talks, the right PPE and a tidy site. Non-negotiable on the sites we work on.
  • Ready for the next step. You want real responsibility, a say in how jobs are run and a business that rewards the people who deliver.

How far and how fast you go is up to you.

The Role

Join AMR Security in a senior role on our install team, leading installation and commissioning works on commercial, government and critical infrastructure sites. You'll be hands-on on the tools and the go-to person for the crew on site.

You'll lead installs across access control, CCTV, intrusion detection and intercom systems; program, configure, test and commission systems through to handover; and fault-find integrated systems when they don't behave. You'll run and supervise site crews, allocating tasks, checking workmanship and keeping progress on track against program and specification, while mentoring apprentices and junior techs along the way.

You'll be the main point of contact on site for clients, builders and contractors, run toolbox talks and keep SWMS current, stage and pre‑configure equipment before it goes to site, and look after commissioning and handover documentation including ITPs, as-builts, shop drawing mark‑ups and compliance paperwork. You'll also help plan and schedule upcoming works, coordinate materials, and keep job cards, service records and timesheets accurate for yourself and the crew.

There's plenty of room to grow from here. Project leadership, system design input, quoting and tendering are all on the table for the right person.
