HireAlice in North Sydney offers a permanent, hybrid security engineering role focused on securing a Microsoft-centric environment and maturing security platforms. The role involves hands-on work with the CISO, implementing controls, and driving security projects.

You will run SecOps rotations, support due diligence for acquisitions, and lead AI governance and identity improvements, while engaging with stakeholders across the business. Start ASAP and join a fast-growing national team.

Qualifications

• 5–10 years experience in cyber security engineering roles.
• Hands-on with Microsoft Entra ID, Defender for Email and Purview.
• Azure and Microsoft 365 administration background.
• Microsoft security certifications (SC-300/SC-200/SC-100) preferred.
• Confident communicator able to engage with stakeholders.

Responsabilités

• Implement and continuously improve security controls across a Microsoft-based environment, including identity, email and data protection.
• Run day-to-day security operations, with a monthly SecOps rotation: monitoring, investigating events and responding to incidents.
• Support security due diligence and integration of newly acquired businesses, including 1-2 site visits per month.
• Drive projects such as AI governance, identity and access improvements, and automated detection and response.
• Strengthen defences against emerging threats, including AI-driven attacks, and roll out an email security gateway.
• Support remediation of vulnerabilities from scans, penetration tests and audits.
• Engage stakeholders at every level, from on-site introductions to security awareness Q&As.
