Vertical Scope Group in Canberra is seeking a driven TSPV-cleared Cryptography Security Engineer to support Defence and National Intelligence Community programs. You will implement cryptographic solutions in complex enterprise environments, focusing on KMS, HSMs, PKI and encryption technologies.

This Canberra-based role is primarily onsite with occasional work-from-home arrangements. A current AGSVA TSPV clearance is required, along with strong documentation, risk management and collaboration

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience implementing cryptographic solutions in enterprise or government ICT environments.
• Experience with key management, hardware security modules, PKI and encryption technologies.
• Experience managing cryptographic key lifecycles and secure communications.
• Ability to document security artefacts and operational procedures.

Job description

Join Vertical Scope Group’s (VSG) Professional Services Division in Canberra as we are seeking a driven, highly skilled and experienced TSPV-cleared Cryptography Security Engineer to join our award-winning team in supporting critical Defence and National Intelligence Community programs.

About the role:

• Demonstrated experience implementing and supporting cryptographic solutions within complex enterprise, government or classified ICT environments.
• Experience with Key Management Systems (KMS), Hardware Security Modules (HSMs), Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) and encryption technologies.
• Experience supporting cryptographic key lifecycle processes, including generation, storage, rotation, archival, recovery and destruction.
• Experience with PKI operations, certificate lifecycle management and secure communications technologies.
• Experience integrating cryptographic services with enterprise platforms, applications and infrastructure services.
• Understanding of encryption technologies used to protect data at rest and in transit.
• Experience supporting security assessments, risk management, security hardening and vulnerability remediation activities.
• Familiarity with Australian Government security frameworks and requirements, including the ISM and PSPF.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively across multidisciplinary technical teams.
• Ability to develop and maintain technical documentation, security artefacts, operational procedures and implementation guidance.
• Demonstrated ability to operate at SFIA Level 4 or equivalent.

The role is Canberra-based and primarily onsite, with occasional work-from-home arrangements considered. Applicants must hold a current AGSVA TSPV security clearance.
