Job summary

Saab Australia is expanding its engineering capability and seeks motivated Software Engineers to contribute to Mission Critical Software across the full development lifecycle. You will design, implement, integrate, test and deploy software while taking increasing ownership of components within a fast-paced defence environment.

We require 4+ years of professional software development, with languages such as Java, Ada, C++, and C#.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science or related field (or equivalent experience).
• 4+ years of professional software development experience.
• Fluent in Java, Ada, C++, C#; familiarity with Bash, Python, Go, TypeScript is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Participate in system architecture and technical design decisions.
• Review code and provide technical guidance to team members.
• Collaborate with Product Owners, Engineers, and Stakeholders to deliver high‑quality solutions.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve complex technical issues.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of development processes and engineering practices.
• Support software releases and ongoing maintenance activities.

Education

Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline (Software Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field)
