Job summary

Nixil in Sydney, NSW is seeking experienced DevOps Engineers to strengthen secure technology environments and support on-site operations. You will help automate deployments, improve reliability and performance, and partner with development teams from infrastructure to applications.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years in DevOps, a relevant degree, and hands-on experience with Ansible, CloudFormation, AWS/Azure, Docker and Kubernetes. This role emphasizes security, governance and Agile collaboration.

Qualifications

Current NV1, NV2 or TSPV security clearance.
3+ years’ experience in DevOps or related field.
Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related discipline.
Programming skills in Python, Java or C#.
Experience with Ansible, CloudFormation, AWS or Azure.
Knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes.

Responsibilities

Design, implement and maintain infrastructure as code using Ansible and CloudFormation.
Build and maintain GitLab CI/CD pipelines, automated deployment scripts, monitoring and logging tools.
Integrate applications with infrastructure and supporting tooling.
Implement security and access controls, auditing mechanisms, and compliance and governance measures.
Monitor performance, troubleshoot issues and optimise resources using Elasticsearch, APM, Beats and Kibana dashboards.
Maintain infrastructure diagrams, deployment documentation and troubleshooting guides.
Contribute to Agile delivery through sprint planning, daily stand-ups and code reviews.
