Job summary

Officeworks is seeking a Security Architect to embed security across strategic tech initiatives. The role reports to the Security Domain Architect and spans design through delivery, across cloud technologies and AI initiatives, balancing business outcomes with delivery timelines.

Successful candidates will drive security outcomes in a fast-paced environment, conduct threat modelling, risk assessments, and collaborate with project teams and stakeholders to deliver secure solutions.

Qualifications

• Minimum 7 years' experience as a Security Architect or similar security-focused project role.
• Strong understanding of cloud security, AWS predominant with GCP exposure valued.
• Knowledge of IT security standards including PCI-DSS and Australian Privacy Principles.
• Experience supporting technology projects from planning through to delivery.

Responsibilities

• Lead security across multiple projects from design through delivery.
• Provide practical guidance across cloud technologies, emerging platforms and AI initiatives.
• Conduct threat modelling and risk assessment exercises; influence stakeholders to secure outcomes.
• Translate technical security concepts into practical business solutions.
