Job summary

Victoria Racing Club (VRC) is seeking casual Section Waiters to join the 2026 Melbourne Cup Carnival and Cox Plate at Flemington Racecourse. You will deliver exceptional food and beverage service across premium dining rooms, marquees, private suites and bars, supporting world-class hospitality experiences during iconic race days.

Ideal candidates will have F&B service experience, strong wine knowledge and RSA, with a passion for guest service, excellent communication, and flexibility to work key

Qualifications

• Previous food and beverage experience as a Section Waiter in hospitality, events, restaurants, hotels, or premium venues.
• Experience in premium dining, corporate hospitality, or high-end service environments highly regarded.
• Strong wine knowledge and confidence making recommendations to guests.
• Victorian RSA certification.
• Excellent communication and guest service skills.

Delaware North Australia is hiring Section Waiters to join us for the 2026 Melbourne Cup Carnival and Cox Plate, two of Australia's most iconic racing events. Be part of the excitement and energy of the Spring Racing Carnival, delivering exceptional experiences across premium dining rooms, exclusive marquees, private suites, bars and hospitality venues at Flemington Racecourse.

Whether you're serving guests trackside or delivering exceptional table service, you'll play a key role in bringing the Melbourne Cup Carnival experience to life.

More about you

• Previous food and beverage experience as a Section Waiter in hospitality, events, restaurants, hotels, or premium venues
• Experience in premium dining, corporate hospitality, or high-end service environments highly regarded
• Strong wine knowledge and confidence making recommendations to guests
• Victorian Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA)
• Excellent communication and guest service skills
• Availability to work key Spring Racing Carnival event dates, including weekends and public holidays

Key event dates include Melbourne Cup Carnival race days and Cox Plate events from 24 October to 7 November 2026.
