Job summary

Laminex is seeking an Inventory Controller to join the Melbourne Distribution Centre in Tullamarine. This coordinator-level role runs from 6.30am to 3pm, Monday to Friday, with occasional overtime.

You will manage stock movements, liaise with departments, and uphold safety standards while using inventory software and MS Office. The ideal candidate brings hands-on inventory control experience, strong organizational skills, and a proactive approach to learning in a leading manufacturing

Qualifications

• Previous experience in inventory control or a similar role.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Ability to work autonomously.
• Excellent communication skills for liaising with different departments.
• Proficiency in inventory management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Exceptional attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
• Physically fit, as there may be some manual handling involved in this role.
• Exceptional awareness of safety in the workplace.
• A valid Forklift Licence with relevant experience - counterbalance.

Responsibilities

• Support inbound processes and coordinate stock movements at the Melbourne Distribution Centre.
• Maintain accurate stock records and perform regular cycle counts.
• Communicate effectively with cross-functional teams to resolve discrepancies.
• Adhere to safety procedures and contribute to a safe work environment.
• Report to the inbound manager and support continuous improvement initiatives.

The Opportunity:

We have an exciting opportunity for an Inventory Controller to join us at our Melbourne Distribution Centre in Tullamarine at Co-ordinator level.

This position will report to the inbound manager. Standard hours will be 6.30am - 3pm, Monday - Friday with occasional overtime available.
