Job summary

St Eugene College in Burpengary, part of Brisbane Catholic Education Office, seeks a Secondary Teacher to teach HPE, Humanities and middle-years Science. The role offers 30 hours per week, ASAP to end of 2026, with a salary range of $86,601 to $124,725 plus 12.75% super.

The successful applicant will create a supportive, curriculum-aligned classroom, deliver quality programs, collaborate with staff, engage in professional learning, and uphold the Catholic ethos in learning and pastoral care.

Qualifications

• Eligibility to work in Australia for the duration of the appointment.
• Current registration with Queensland College of Teachers.

Responsibilities

• Creating a nurturing and ordered learning environment that is learner-centred, supportive, cooperative, and aligned with relevant curriculum policies, documents and practices
• Collaboratively developing and implementing quality curriculum programs and appropriate pedagogy; evaluating their effectiveness; assessing and reporting student progress and learning outcomes; and reporting these to students, parents and the community
• Working collaboratively with the leadership team, teachers and other staff members in contributing to the professional life of the school and fostering a positive school culture
• Proactively engaging with professional learning to enhance student learning outcomes
• Establishing positive relationships in the pastoral care of students and supporting their spiritual and moral development
• Ensure that the teachings and values of the Catholic Church form a foundation for learning and teaching
