Job summary

Townsville Catholic Education seeks a passionate Secondary Teacher to teach English and Humanities at Southern Cross Catholic College, Townsville. This is a full-time, permanent position commencing on 18 January 2027.

Registration with the Queensland College of Teachers (or eligibility) is required, with teaching Religion as an advantageous additional skill. You’ll join a supportive team, designing engaging lessons and assessing student progress while supporting diverse learners.

Qualifications

Salary Range: $86,600 - $124,725 per annum pending experience + Super

We’re looking for a passionate and dedicated Secondary Teacher (English and Humanties) with tertiary qualifications and registration (or eligibility) with the Queensland College of Teachers. The ability to teach Religion would be an advantage. The role is a full time, permanent position and commences on 18 January 2027.

You’ll join a supportive team of committed teachers who work together in partnership with the parent community to create the best possible learning experience for every student. Your understanding of contemporary teaching practices, and your ability to adapt and support a diverse range of learners, will help every child feel included, valued, and confident.
