Job summary

St Bede’s Catholic College, Chisholm, part of the Catholic Schools Office Maitland - Newcastle, seeks a permanent full-time secondary TAS/VET teacher starting January 2027. The college is new, co-educational, with a Catholic ethos and a strong focus on Courage, Knowledge, Community and Faith.

The role requires commitment to Catholic Education, NSW standards, and excellence in teaching through contemporary pedagogies, assessment practices and wellbeing considerations.

Qualifications

• Four-year trained teacher with NSW teaching registration
• Active NSW NESA Accreditation
• Current NSW Working with Children Check (WWCC)
• Completion of anaphylaxis training
• Completion of CPR training
• Commitment to Catholic Education and school ethos

Responsibilities

• Promote the school as a place of learning and excellence in line with evidence-based practices.
• Differentiate teaching to meet diverse student needs and abilities.
• Plan and prepare contemporary teaching programs and assessments.
• Utilise school data and assessment results to improve educational outcomes.
• Collaborate with staff and the wider community to establish partnerships and continuous improvement
