Job summary

St Bede’s Catholic College, Chisholm is seeking a permanent full-time secondary Science teacher to join the team in January 2027. The college is a new co-educational Catholic secondary school in the Diocese of Maitland-Newcastle, currently serving years 7–12 with about 900 students.

You will promote Catholic formation and deliver engaging, standards-aligned science teaching in a faith-filled environment. The role requires four-year trained teachers with NESA accreditation, WWCC, and safeguarding

Qualifications

• Ability to articulate commitment to Catholic Education and actively supporting the Catholic ethos and culture of the school.
• Plan and prepare contemporary and compliant teaching programs and assessments meeting diverse student needs.
• Demonstrate ability to use assessment data to optimise educational outcomes.
• Collaborate with school staff and the wider community to establish productive partnerships.
• Demonstrate an innovative and agile mindset to improve school practices.
